The first step is to talk to your doctor. He or she may be able to prescribe medication or suggest exercises or diet plans. And here are some things that you can do yourself:







6–8 glasses. Drinking plenty of liquids everyday keeps your bladder healthy.
Avoid irritants. Tomato-based foods, spicy foods, citrus fruits and chocolate can irritate your bladder.
Limit caffeine and alcohol.
Pace yourself. Don’t go to the bathroom just in case, but don’t hold out too long either.
Don’t strain. When emptying your bladder, try to relax.
